Spotlight On Success: Power House
Billy Olson’s Sun Valley experience began in the fall of 1991. Playing hard during the day either biking, skiing, or fly fishing. To support his habit he worked nights in several restaurants and catering kitchens. After being fed up with the restaurant business, he knew he would never own his own restaurant, and went for his second passion – bikes.
Billy worked in a local bike shop, and there he had his first vision of the Power House. After a couple years in the shop he set out on his own and started Mobile Cycle Repair. Billy really enjoyed going to peoples’ place of business or their home and fixing their bikes. Eventually the mobile business morphed into a Bicycle Fit Studio then into a Bike Shop, and finally into a Bike Shop with a Pub.
Power House: Bikes, Burgers, Beer! The Power House kitchen makes everything from scratch using only the best ingredients available. And they take their beer list seriously, with 20 taps of rotating craft beer backed by an extensive selection of bottles. The bike shop is no different. It features Yeti and Open cycles. This year he will offer several demos, so you can try before you buy. The Power House is all about keeping it local and attention to detail.
